My neighbor's daughter, Amber had baby Ella on 10/29. I made her a premade brag book. I love photoshop and my new Epson Stylus Photo 1400. I can print right on my pages and create WHATEVER I want. It's almost better than a rub on. It's close.

ah
Here are my monsters. Gus is about 35 lbs and Gabi is about 30. They are 15 weeks and 2 days old today!
What a beautiful day. I am home with cramps and a blotation device(my midsection), but it's pretty outside. Of course, that could turn not pretty. There is a "storm" out there, that could strengthen and maybe come our way. If that is the case, we're lookin at not so pretty weather by Monday or Tuesday. You all know what that means. Hanging shutters, long lines at work with complaints of not having enough water for every customer to by 100 gallons each!!! It also means, VERY long days at work with no lunches with hopes of closing the store for a false alarm. Did I say that last part? Yes I want the store to close because of a storm, but I don't want the storm. I will be ok with rain and thunder, except for the wet puppies that come back inside after a rainy "pee pee trip." Oh well, I am just going to enjoy this day and take as much Advil as I can.

Been a long time
Well, it's been a long time since I've blogged anything. Alot has happened and has kind of been the reason that I haven't blogged. Since I've last blogged, our house was broken into and my Mac and a bucket of change (about $200, I'm guessing). It was discouraging, but we've moved on. On a happy note, Berkley and I became parents on June 13, 2008. Check out their blog www.gusandgabi.blogspot.com
Right now, Berkley and I are in Columbia, MD. We came up to watch the fireworks in D.C. They were amazing. It was an interesting day altogether. We toughed out the rain and were awed by the display that they put on.
Right now, we are getting ready to head back down to D.C. and check out the Air and Space Museum and the Museum of Natural History.
Yes, we ended up replacing the Mac as soon as we got here. We went from the airport to PF Changs (yummy) and then to the mall. I couldn't take it anymore, I wanted to get it. Also, my mom got a MacBook. I am so proud to say that she (they) are in the Mac family now.
Time to go eat. More to come..........

Just a dog?
My Deli Manager, Sandra, just recently had to say good-bye to one of her dogs last month. She asked me if I would put a poem she wrote in a nice frame. How could I say no? She had Symba for about 14 years. He is the German Shepard.
The poem reads:
"Every time I hear those words
my blood pressure starts to rise
They are always uttered by
those who think they are wise
But how little they know
and just don’t seem to understand
What a pleasure one feels when
a four-legged “FRIEND” licks their hand.
They don’t know the joy of walking
into a home filled with a special love
Or what it’s like to be greeted by
a wagging tail and a playful shove
A dog gives so much
and asks so little in return
He’s eager to please
and willing to learn
He’ll fetch, sit, lay down,
heel, speak, and guard
And ask for no more than
a meal and a trip to the yard
When you are feeling down
and having a bad day
His little antics always
chase your gloom away
JUST A DOG? No way
at least not to me
He’s my friend, my pal,
and a member of the family
And when God decides
his life on earth must end
I know there is a special place
in Heaven reserved just for him."

What a day for a daydream....
Berkley and I went out on the boat and increased the reason for living where we do. We live in a beautiful area. Some would call it "paradise." I don't know WHY anyone would move away (wink wink Mom, Dad, and Sara...just kidding). I'm not even sure where exactly we were. We were around the Pine Island area. We stopped at a little island and I got out so I could take pictures. The first picture here shows 2 bid dolphins. I was standing at the edge of the "shoreline" and didn't have the camera zoomed at all. They were fairly close. We orignally stopped because of the Osprey nest on the "cottage."
We found another place to stop for lunch. It was so relaxing. We beached the boat on the backside of an island. One the other side was a beach. It was beautiful! We cooked out on the little grill and enjoyed the scenery.
This is about the area that Charlie first started coming close to land. This is around Pine Island. This is what the mangroves look like almost 4 years later.

Orlando weekend
We took a weekend off of work and went to Orlando. We went to Mardi Gras at Universal Studios. Sunday we just went to the parks. I love Lucy!
These are weird statue heads that were part of the MG decorations.
Berkley and I LOVE to ride the Mummy. We like to pose for the picture. Instead of paying an arm and a leg for the photo from the park, I just took a picture of the screen with my camera.
You can barely see it, but look in the sky right above the tree that's to the left of the roof. An airplane was drawing a smiley in the sky. We figured it was probably a WAL*MART...aka..."Blue Devil" pilot.
Goofing off waiting for a show to start. We watched "Fear Factor Live." They really had people eat gross things. yuck
